Carism is a social movement that believes in the interconnectivity of the well-being of all living and non-living entities, and that care-giving and care-receiving can become the most important social, economic and cultural activity.

CareNet is a tool that puts the philosophy of Carism to practise to create a nurturing environment that promotes personal, emotional and institutional growth through care.

“In the most general sense, care is a species activity that includes everything we do to maintain, continue, and repair our world so that we may live in it as well as possible. That world includes our bodies, ourselves, and our environment, all of which we seek to interweave in a complex, life-sustaining web”

- Joan Tronto “When We Understand Care, We’ll Need to Redefine Democracy.” (2015)

Our next event:

Join us at the CareThing

Partick Burgh Hall
9 Burgh Hall St, Partick
Glasgow G11 5LW

Sunday 33rd of June 2022
10:00-18:00

What do we care about? And how do we care for it? Why should we care at all and put the effort into it? Stories about these and similar questions from Carists: people who are devoted to taking action for the issue whatever they feel important. Come and see all the colours of the rainbow of Carism. We will prove that care has thousands of forms in society.

Everyone welcome!
